Description
Built in 1913 Kansas City Southern #900 is the largest shay ever produced. She was laid down a month before ordered by the Kansas City Southern for heavy labor purposes alongside her smaller sister 901. When I say heavy she was HEAVY while the heaviest regular shays weights 90 tons at most she weighed in at 160tons over 200,000 pounds. with a boiler pressure of 300psi she was a brute with cylinders befitting a heavy class 2-8-2 mikado in the day they measured 18"x20"
She may be big and headstrong but her engineer better treat her throttle with a gentle hand, she likes it slow ^-
Just want to say she was very hard to draw I used two ref pics I found to make a good profile tell me what you think and should I draw her smaller sister 901?
